Sana’a, Yemen: Support Yemeni Organization for Development, a nonprofit determined to maintain human dignity was recently selected as GlobalGiving’s Project of the Month for September 2024. Support Yemeni Organization for Development will use the $10,000 they receive in [month] to [a specific way you will use the money (Urgent Appeal for Assistance to Flooding in Yemen.
Each month GlobalGiving selects a different innovative, high-impact project from their pool of more than 5,000 projects in 170+ countries around the world to receive the title. Nearly 3,000 donors come together and make monthly donations to keep the Project of the Month going.
When Founder and CEO Ahmed Al-Qadhi learned that Support Yemeni Society had been selected as the September POMC, he shared that these funds will go a long way in providing critical aid to flood-affected communities. “The funds will allow us to provide aid to reach thousands of displaced families in the immediate aftermath of the floods. Additionally, it will enable us to repair damaged infrastructure like roads and bridges, restoring access to essential services and helping communities get back on their feet.
