SYS Organization Continues Feeding 1000 Yemeni Schoolgirls for Fifth Year

The SYS Organization is continuing its vital Feed 1000 program, which provides daily meals to 1000 underprivileged schoolgirls in Sana’a, Yemen. This marks the fifth consecutive year that SYS Organization has run this impactful initiative. ” Hundreds of thousands of breakfast meals and thousands of food baskets have been distributed to those poor Yemeni schoolgirls and their families.” said SYS Project Manager Hosam.

The ongoing civil war in Yemen has left millions of people facing severe food insecurity, with children being particularly vulnerable. Many families simply cannot afford to feed their children, forcing young girls to drop out of school in order to help provide for the household.

The SYS Feed 1000 program aims to keep these girls in school by ensuring they receive at least one nutritious meal per day. Not only does this address immediate hunger needs, but it also encourages continued school attendance and supports the long-term education of Yemeni girls. “We’re proud to be entering our fourth year of this program,” Hosam added “Despite the challenging conditions in Yemen, the Feed 1000 initiative has been a lifeline for so many young students. Our goal is to expand this further in the years to come.” The organization is calling for continued support from the international community to sustain and grow this vital program for Yemen’s future generation of women.
